We’re Here For The View: Our Favorite Trucking Routes. We thought it was a trick question when we were asked what we thought were the best trucking routes based on scenery. Truckers are lucky in that we get to see the whole country up close and personal — so we’re allowed to have a few preferred routes. Aside from our choice view being the last exit signaling we’re almost home, here are three of our favorite routes:

Arizona to California

We’re big fans of traveling from Arizona to California simply for the diversity in the topography. Desert views, mountain ranges, and gorgeous blue water greet us all along the I-10 and the I-5. In other words, we’re more likely to encounter sunshine than rain on this long drive, which is always a win in our books.

Salt Lake City, Utah to Portland, Oregon

We love the Salt Lake City skyline. For instance, driving through Idaho offers up killer mountain views, beautiful rolling hills, and lush greenery. This route finishes up with the Columbia River Gorge and we never, ever get sick of that view.

Spokane, Washington to Missoula, Montana

Take the I-90 from Spokane to Missoula and be greeted by amazing views of the Cascade Range’s Snoqualmie Pass. In addition, as you enter Montana, you’ll enjoy panoramas of the summit of Lookout Pass.
